Hermes
A self-hosted personal AI agent by a single owner, for use by that owner.
What this application is
Hermes is a personal automation agent that the owner runs on their own private server. It is not distributed, not offered as a service, and has no other users. It exists so that the owner can delegate routine work on their own mailbox and calendar to an AI assistant they control.
What it does
- Gmail — search and read the owner's own messages and threads, apply and remove labels, and create or send replies on the owner's behalf.
- Google Calendar — list, create, update and respond to events on the owner's own calendars.
- Google Drive, Sheets and Docs — for the owner's optional document workflows.
Every action is initiated by the owner, runs on the owner's own account, and has exactly the access the owner granted. No third party is involved at any point.
Data practices at a glance: Google user data is accessed solely to carry out
tasks the owner requested. It is never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for
advertising, and never used to train machine learning models.
Read the full Privacy Policy.
How it is operated
- Runs entirely on the owner's private infrastructure.
- Authenticates with Google OAuth 2.0 using the owner's explicit consent.
- Stores the OAuth token locally, encrypted at rest, on the owner's own server.
- Can be revoked at any time from the owner's Google Account permissions page.
